Our Team
CULTED Lab is an interdisciplinary academic and research community based at the Department of History and Archaeology of the University of Patras. Its members contribute to research, teaching, project development, digital cultural applications, educational innovation and collaborations with academic, cultural and public organisations.
The laboratory brings together academic staff, researchers, doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers and collaborators whose scientific interests are related to cultural technology, digital humanities, museum studies, history, archaeology, education and emerging technologies.

Christos D. Merantzas

History and Archaeology of Civilisations
Christos D. Merantzas is Professor in the Department of History and Archaeology at the University of Patras, where he teaches the history and archaeology of civilisations. His research focuses on Byzantine and post-Byzantine cultural history, environmental aesthetics, cultural heritage management, the body, cultural identities and the sustainable development of mountainous regions.

Georgios Panagiotopoulos is Professor in the Department of History and Archaeology at the University of Patras.
