About the Laboratory
CULTED Lab is an interdisciplinary research laboratory of the Department of History and Archaeology at the University of Patras, dedicated to cultural technology, digital heritage and educational innovation.
Who We Are
The Laboratory of Cultural Technology and Educational Innovation, with the distinctive title CULTED Lab, is established within the Department of History and Archaeology of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Patras.
The laboratory supports teaching and research needs at undergraduate and postgraduate level, while promoting interdisciplinary research in cultural technology and educational innovation.
Mission
The mission of CULTED Lab is to advance high-level interdisciplinary research in cultural technology and educational innovation, with particular emphasis on the digital transformation of the humanities.
The laboratory explores how digital technologies can support innovative uses of cultural knowledge in education, research and society.
What We Do
CULTED Lab develops research, methodologies, digital services and educational applications that connect cultural heritage, humanities research, emerging technologies and learning innovation.
Digital Cultural Services
Design, development, evaluation and dissemination of interactive digital cultural services for the documentation, interpretation, promotion and educational use of cultural heritage.
Digital Humanities
Research on the digital transformation of the humanities through technologies that support cultural data, historical interpretation, visualisation and knowledge dissemination.
Educational Innovation
Development and evaluation of learning scenarios, digital applications and educational resources that promote innovative teaching and learning practices.
Cultural Heritage and Technology
Use of emerging technologies, including extended reality and artificial intelligence, for the digital transition of cultural data, services, products and methodologies.
Research and Development
Implementation of research, applied and training projects in collaboration with academic, cultural, public and private organisations.
Knowledge Transfer
Transformation of research knowledge into services, products, methodologies and guidelines that can support the public sector, private sector and wider society.
